Our Team in Nairobi
I joined Wildlife Safari way back in 1992 as a guest liaison, and now I manage operations. My specialties are customer service and logistics; in fact the challenge of putting an unforgettable safari together – planning every detail from the moment a guest lands in Africa to when they finally leave – is what I love most about my job. The safari destination closest to my heart is Samburu, in the wild north of Kenya, and zebras are my favourite African animals.
Senior Safari Consultant
I’ve been a safari consultant with Wildlife Safari since 1992. It’s a long time, I know, but I really love my job! With my many years of experience, I’d say I’m an expert when it comes to tour costing and planning – planning being what I enjoy the most. Whenever a guest asks me for my top safari destination, I suggest they visit the Masai Mara. Even on a bad day, you’ll see more wildlife there than pretty much anywhere else in Africa. My favourite African animal is the giraffe.
The rest of the Nairobi team
Wildlife Safari HQ, based in Nairobi, also includes staff members Aisha Jeneby, Joseph Rutuna and Stephen Kungu. Both Aisha and Joseph are safari consultants, joining the team about a six months apart in 2005 and 2004 respectively. While Aisha thrives on tour planning, Joseph is driven by client satisfaction. Stephen, the guest liaison, also joined the company in 2004. He specialises in customer service, and loves the varied experiences his job brings. Along with Joel, all three recommend the Masai Mara as a must-visit safari destination.
