About The Lodge
Four Seasons Safari Lodge is situated in the fabled Serengeti National Park, surrounded by seemingly endless plains in an extremely prolific wildlife-viewing area. The elevated position of this luxury Serengeti safari lodge only enhances the sense of being able to see forever, and of wanting to stay at least that long.
With a nearby active waterhole – much favoured by elephant – the magic of the Serengeti is brought home (sometimes quite literally) in every moment that guests spend at Four Seasons Safari Lodge. This luxury Serengeti safari lodge was designed to optimise the stunning views, and also to facilitate authentic wildlife encounters.
Game drives offer the opportunity to explore the surrounding savannah and encounter the many species that make their homes on these rolling grasslands. Guided walks – in the company of the lodge’s Maasai neighbours – can reveal some of the sometimes-overlooked details of the bush. Interior journeys are also possible – the resident yogi leads short walks up to the summit of a nearby koppie as the sun begins to set, with the views contributing an extra dimension to the guided meditation session.
Spending time in the lodge itself is an equally rejuvenating experience: the decor in each room combines timeless elegance with nods to the artisanship of the people of the region, and multiple windows open onto either waterhole or horizon views.
Filmy mosquito nets draped from four-poster beds add to the romance of the lodge, and conjure up memories of safaris past. At the same time, there’s no need to miss a moment of the present, as live footage of the waterhole action can be relayed to the televisions in each guest suite and room, meaning that every moment can be captured and enjoyed. This is a lodge that lets guests tune in even as they tune out to enjoy their safari vacations.
