Day by day
Nairobi
Welcome to Kenya! On your arrival in Nairobi, a representative will meet and assist you through immigration and customs before your guest manager escorts you by private vehicle to Hemingways Nairobi. Settle in and recover from your international flight with the rest of the day at your leisure.
Laikipia
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before a road transfer to Wilson Domestic Airport for your light aircraft flight to Laikipia. You’ll be welcomed and transferred to Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp, set on the edge of an escarpment with magnificent panoramic views over Laikipia’s landscape. Take some time to unpack and relax before heading out on your first game drive in the late afternoon. End your day with dinner before drinks around a crackling campfire.
Laikipia
An early rise to enjoy the day’s wildlife viewing in a custom-built Land Rover safari vehicle. Options are unlimited, you’ll venture out on day and night game drives and take a guided walk through the wild to explore this beautiful area – an elephant migration corridor and the link of the semi-arid-north, along with its species such as Grevy zebra, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich, to the prolific plains of the south. With luck on your side, you’ll be spotting some wild dogs and big cats in this densely populated area. Enjoy meals and relaxation at the camp in-between your safari adventures.
Samburu
Savour breakfast and depart on a leisurely drive to Samburu, where you’ll arrive at your beautiful lodge, Saruni Samburu perched on a cliff, with arguably one of the best views in Kenya. Settle in and relax before heading out on your afternoon game drive, guided by passionate and knowledgeable Samburu warriors. Relax at the lodge, enjoying a cold drink before dinner is served.
Samburu
Wake to the call of the birds and the rising sun as you head out on a morning game drive. After lunch perhaps a nature walk is of interest, discovering animals and plants with your knowledgeable guide. Relax around the lodge, enjoy a dip in the pool, take in the panoramic vista’s before heading off on an evening game drive in the Kalama Conservancy. End the day with a bush dinner under the stars before returning on a night drive to the lodge.
Masai Mara
Enjoy breakfast and depart Samburu on a light aircraft flight, arriving in the magnificent Masai Mara. Transfer to Saruni Mara and let your next adventure begin. Head out on a game drive for a quieter and more private safari in the protected lands of the Mara North Conservancy, which is packed with wildlife. Savour dinner and a crackling fire to end off the day.
Masai Mara
Wake up at the crack of dawn and head off in your open-sided 4X4 game viewing vehicle, for some of the Masai Mara’s exceptional game viewing. Witness the sun rising over the savannah grasslands, the silhouette of giraffe, elephant, wildebeest – and many more – on the horizon. Return to camp for lunch and leisure before you’re back on the vehicle for your next game drive where you’ll be taken to a special area to see the largest tower of giraffe and perhaps the Big-5 is on the cards this afternoon? Enjoy dinner before letting the sounds of the night encapsulate you around the campfire.
Masai Mara
As dawn breaks, enjoy another game driving through the Masai Mara, spotting a vast array of games plain and always keeping an eye out for lion, leopard and cheetah, which are found in greater concentrations in the Masai Mara than anywhere else in Africa. The rest of the day is at your leisure, enjoying the facilities at the lodge before heading out on your next game spotting expedition, as the sun sets over the African bush. Weather permitting, a bush dinner out in nature, under the African sky, while watching the Maasai warriors singing and dancing around the crackling fire.

Kenya has as good a claim as anywhere to being the country where modern safaris began, and where they’re done best, and it still regularly features high on travel magazines ‘must-visit’ lists. Kenya has been doing what it does best for decades, and yet there’s always something new to discover on Kenya safaris.
