Day by day
Nairobi
Welcome to Kenya! On your arrival in Nairobi, a representative will meet and assist you through immigration and customs before your guest manager escorts you by private vehicle to Eka Hotel. Settle in and recover from your international flight with the rest of the day at your leisure.
Samburu
Breakfast will be served at your hotel before setting off with your Wildlife Safari guide. Travel northbound, stopping at the equator for a photo opportunity before entering the reserve. Begin game viewing on the way to Samburu Simba Lodge, taking in your wild surroundings. Once you’ve made yourself at home, head out on an afternoon game drive returning around sunset, with time to freshen up before dinner.
Samburu
Set off on an early morning game drive in your 4×4 safari vehicle, taking in the beautiful Samburu landscape with its dry plains, meandering rivers and distant Mount Kenya in the background. Keep your eyes peeled for the Samburu Special Five; beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, gerenuk and Somali ostrich. In between exciting game drives, kick back and relax in the camp’s rim flow pool, looking out over the rugged hills and wild arid landscape. Enjoy your afternoon game drive and return for dinner at the lodge.
Ol Pejeta
Enjoy an early breakfast, then depart for Ol Pejeta wildlife sanctuary, famed for its pioneering wildlife conservancy. Arrive at Sweetwaters Serena, an oasis set around a floodlit waterhole in this private wildlife sanctuary – overlooking Mt Kenya. Take some time to settle in before heading out on a game drive, experiencing the large game density that the conservancy offers. Return to camp and enjoy dinner.
Ol Pejeta
Wake up – not only for some extraordinary game viewing – but you’ll also be paying a visit to the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, where abandoned and rescued chimps are rehabilitated. Returning to the lodge, treat yourself to a cold drink at the Waterhole Bar, offering stunning views of the waterhole and the animals that frequent it. Enjoy dinner at the lodge, overlooking the floodlit waterhole.
Lake Naivasha
Today you’ll be heading off after breakfast to the Great Rift Valley – boasting hot springs, geysers, volcanoes and some of the oldest, largest and deepest lakes in the world. The alkaline shallow soda lakes are famous for their flamingo flocks gathering to feed and breed along the lakeshore. Arrive at Naivasha Simba Lodge set on the banks of Lake Naivasha, one of two freshwater lakes on the rift. Enjoy lunch and take the afternoon at your leisure or if you choose, add on an additional activity such as a boat ride on the lake or a visit to Crescent Island.
Lake Naivasha
Your safari guide will arrange a day of exploring to suit your preference in Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its flamingos and its breeding sanctuary for the endangered black rhino, white rhino and the rare Rothschild giraffe. Return to the lodge for dinner and an evening of relaxation.
Masai Mara
Depart after breakfast and drive along the Great Rift Valley floor to enter the Masai Mara National Reserve, where you immediately begin game viewing, passing wildlife herds on the vast savannah plains as you drive towards Mara Simba Lodge. After lunch, take a late afternoon game drive, returning to your lodge for dinner.
Masai Mara
Wake up at the crack of dawn and head off in your 4×4 game viewing vehicle, for some of the Masai Mara’s exceptional game viewing. Witness the sun rising over the savannah grasslands, the silhouette of giraffe, elephant, wildebeest – and many more – on the horizon. Return to camp, enjoy lunch and an afternoon of leisure. Take a dip in the cool pool or kick back on a sun lounger with your favourite book. Back on the vehicle for your next game drive, perhaps the Big-5 is on the cards this afternoon? Return to the lodge to enjoy dinner.
Masai Mara
As dawn starts to break, enjoy another game drive through the Masai Mara. Spotting zebra, topi, eland, impala and many other species – always keeping in mind that lion, leopard and cheetah are in greater concentrations in the Masai Mara than anywhere else in Africa. Spend the day at your leisure enjoying the facilities at the lodge before heading out on your next game spotting expedition, watching as the sun sets over the African bush. Enjoy dinner at the lodge.
Depart
Enjoy a last morning game drive and breakfast before departing to the airstrip for your flight to Wilson Domestic Airport. You’ll be met by your Wildlife Safari Representative and be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward travel arrangements.

Kenya has as good a claim as anywhere to being the country where modern safaris began, and where they’re done best, and it still regularly features high on travel magazines ‘must-visit’ lists. Kenya has been doing what it does best for decades, and yet there’s always something new to discover on Kenya safaris.
