Day by day
Arusha
On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you’ll be met by a representative who will escort you to your evening’s accommodation, Arusha Coffee Lodge sitting on the evergreen coffee fields on the foothills of Mount Meru. Freshen up after a long flight, take a dip in the pool or relax on the garden terrace, the day is yours to spend at leisure. Dinner is served around a cosy log fire.
Serengeti
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before a road transfer to Arusha Airport for your light aircraft flight into the Serengeti. You’ll be welcomed by andBeyond Klein’s Camp and head off on a leisurely game viewing drive to camp, perched on the edge of Kuka Hills, offering breathtaking views down the valley. Relax on your private verandah with vistas of hills, savannah and forested riverbanks before heading out on your late afternoon game drive, returning after dark for dinner and a sparkling fire.
Serengeti
Enjoy game viewing drives and walks on the vast plains of the Serengeti, where you’ll be spotting herds of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle, along with buffalo, elephant and giraffe, to name a few. The game viewing here won’t disappoint you – whenever you travel and is truly remarkable. In-between riveting game drives, spend some time relaxing around camp. Enjoy a dip in the pool or kick back and absorb your magnificent surroundings. Relish meals in the dining room, on your verandah or out in the bush with a glowing log fire.
Serengeti
Another day to experience this vast and un-spoilt wilderness, be it on a game drive or guided bushwalk. Besides the wildebeest migration, the Serengeti also supports a large diversity of game that fills the open plains. Stay on the lookout for the Big-5 – lion, elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo and the elusive leopard, perhaps you’ll even be lucky enough to see a predator stalking its prey. In-between exciting game drives, relax in the privacy of your cool stone cottage before dinner and a glass of wine, as the sounds of the night enfold you.
Ngorongoro Crater
Breakfast and a final game drive through the Serengeti plains before your airstrip transfer and light aircraft flight to Lake Manyara airstrip. On arrival, you’ll go on a scenic two-hour drive, to andBeyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, previously dubbed “the game lodge at the top of the world”. Settle into your suite, with its floor-to-ceiling glass windows, allowing you not to miss a second of your magnificent vista. Let your butler draw a luxurious bubble bath before heading off to dinner.
Ngorongoro Crater
An early morning start, enjoy breakfast and descend the narrow track to the crater floor. Explore this Eden-like setting on the myriad of routes around the crater floor, a mini biosphere with multitudes of animal and bird species, including the black rhino. Ascend the narrow track to your lodge, where you’ll enjoy a late lunch with the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner is served in the restaurant.
Depart
A leisurely wake up before breakfast is served. Depart on a road transfer to Lake Manyara airstrip, where you’ll embark on a light aircraft flight to Arusha Airport to continue with your onward travel arrangements.

Destinations on this trip
Tanzania is an East African safari powerhouse, not least because in the Serengeti it features one of the greatest of all wilderness areas, and the backdrop for the annual Great Wildebeest Migration. Factor in Indian Ocean Islands, too, and it’s clear that Tanzania safaris can be all things to all people.
The Serengeti takes its name from a Maasai word meaning ‘where the land runs on forever’. It’s one of the most evocative and iconic safari destinations of all – not least because it’s the stage on which much of the drama of the Great Wildebeest Migration is played out each year.
Descending into the Ngorongoro Crater from one of the luxury lodges perched on its rim is one of the most remarkable safari experiences available in Tanzania. Driving across an ancient volcanic caldera, the wildlife may seem familiar, but the setting is quite unique, and this makes for wonderful photographic opportunities.
